SILHOUETTE FAQ
Below are the questions that have been most frequently asked regarding Silhouette together with the answers to those questions. (Note to programmers - this is dummy text, correct text will be provided).
a) FAMILY ACCOUNTS QUESTIONS
1. What will a person with a family account do if they want Silhouette? Will they have to pay for each family member, or if the account holder is one of the first 500 what kind of break will they get?
2. Would husband and wife both have to be in the first 500 in order to get their family account for free and would that mean other family members would still be included in the Sil usage or what?
3. Is this price included in the family account or is it per person?
4. I'm wondering how this will affect my family account with them not having the Silhouette service?
5. Does this $10 per month cover also the $10 monthly fee I already pay to IVN for Cybertown family access?
ANSWER:
The Silhouette/Nexos monthly rate works the same as the CT monthly rate. In other words, if you pre-register and choose the $10 per month option for Silhouette and the Nexos you will get your CT family account included.
b) ADDITIONAL NICKS
1. Would this mean only my main nick can use Silhouette?
2. What about my additional nicknames? They don't have to use silhouette but will still need access to CT.
3. how does it work with my alt nicks? Do I still get to keep my alts at $1 per month as usual? Does the main nick have the only access to Sill + Nex & not the alts ? Can the Nex be accessed without using all the extra software & webcam/audio as well (just wondering about that)?
ANSWER:
You will be able to keep using your alt nicks in CT. If you want to purchase alt nicks for the Nexos, they would be the same price as CT alt nicks and make the CT alt nicks free. We're not sure why you'd want to since people will see it's you no matter which nick you use, though :)
Yes, the Nexos can be accessed without Silhouette and webcam/audio but initially all you'll be able to do is explore it. Audio chat will come later.
c) EXISTING ACCOUNTS
1. What if I'm in the first 500 but I've already paid for a year of CT membership?
2. Hope the option I've checked is included in my CT membership dues (already paid until next year)
ANSWER:
If you've already paid for a year in advance for CT, this would be pro-rated for the Nexos if you pre-register.
2. Will we still be able to access CT without using Silhouette? If so, will you be able to distinguish whether or not we are using the Silhouette program for billing purposes?
3. What about events? Will people in CT using Silhouette be able to interact and communicate with people not using it?
No, you don't have to use it but if you decide sometime in the future that you'd like to, by pre-registering you are ensuring that you will be able to receive the special discount prices.
e) COMMITMENT:
1. If I register as one of the first 500 can I change my mind?
2. I'm signing up hopefully for the first free 500. I would like to see how I like the program before committing to a full year. I will be able to cancel if I decide it's not for me, yes?
ANSWER:
Yes, you may change your mind.
f) ABILITY TO CHANGE PLANS
1. Will we be able to change our preference at a later date if we want to?
2. Not sure I understood about the plans so would like the option to change plan to unlimited if needed.
